How to say "together" in Spanish

"Together" in Spanish is juntos, or juntas if the group is made up only of women. Because it describes the people doing something side by side, it agrees with them and stays plural: Vamos juntos, Vivimos juntas. With estar it often means being a couple: Estamos juntos.

Juntos describes a group, which is why it carries the plural -s: Trabajamos juntos.

Juntas for women only

Mis hermanas viven juntas. Add even one man to the group and it's back to juntos.

It usually comes after the verb and its object: Pasamos tiempo juntos. ¿Por qué no vamos juntos?

Singular junto in set phrases

The singular form shows up with a small word after it: junto con is together with, junto a is next to.
