Grammar: también and tampoco

Four points that cover almost every use.

One form for everyone

También never changes. The accent on the é marks the stressed syllable.

Before the verb

It usually sits right before the verb: Yo también soy de aquí. You'll also hear it at the end: Soy de aquí también.

After a no: tampoco

No tengo hambre. Yo tampoco. Spanish has a separate word for "not either".

Also, too, as well

English has three ways to say it. Spanish uses también for all of them: Hablo inglés y también español.
