Feminine, like other -ción words

la habitación. Nouns ending in -ción are feminine: la estación, la canción.

No accent mark in the plural

la habitación, las habitaciones. The extra syllable puts the stress in its regular place, so the mark goes.

Silent h

The h is silent, so la and ha run together: lah-ah-bee-tah-SYOHN. In most of Spain the c sounds like th.

In and out

Salgo de la habitación. I leave the room. Entro en la habitación. I go into the room. In Latin America: entro a la habitación.
